in australia there a pest if you went shooting you could easily get 400-500 there fucken everywhere ferrettings good fun tho it shits me how dickheads always complain that its cruel they dont hear us complaining about them killing poor vegetables

@greatestaussiehunter it depends on the size warren your working and how many ferrets your using m8 because its no good using 1 ferret in a 50 or 60 hole warren,try using 3 or 4 ferrets at a time as the rabbits will run rings around them in the ground.are the ferrets going deep enough in the sett? common problem with young ferrets not going deep enough to push them up.have the rabbits moved to a sett you dont know about? rabbits will dig fresh warrens all the time.just trying to help

Mate what part of Australia do you live in? and what are you doing ferreting or shooting because it's hard to believe you get that many from ferreting and shooting many rabbits have their warrens in blackberry bushes so you would get more from shooting but not that many, i went ferreting this moring and only got two rabbits from the warren. but there are plenty around but they hide in the blackberries so if you had a gun you could easily get 50-60 in a night

Cheers Dan. There are numbers around, but they erupt in pockets and are localised to certain areas.. I average around 250 every winter from one farm alone.
