Amtrak #8 at WI Dells on April 14, 1992. F40's, ex ATSF Hi level Amtrak
Crew car, Phase 3 paint Superliners. This is when the loading of
passengers was done from the opposite side of the depot on the South side
platform, just after the taking out of the 2nd main track before the
platform was extended.

  • @trainmaster55 The CP rail decided to downgrade the entire line from Milwaukee to MSP upon purchase from SOO/Milwaukee. The other track was a MT here as well. Now as you know passing sidings is all that is left of the Milwaukee Road. And some of the rails on the sidings are still the jointed which is what Milwaukee Road put in long long ago.
