Keeping beat and singing isnt very hard as some of you know but actually DRUMMING likeDean does is truely hard. He proves in every show that a drummer isnt a caveman with some stick his displays of humility, musicianship, and drumming are an insperation to all. Hats off to you my friend.

i was with him one eve last week----he's back in town. He was goofin' off---and sang 2 lines of this in my ear....i mellllted. Being silly or not---it still sounded Angelic. AND---he's verrrry funny n cute. Full of humility and realizes he's been given a gift, he never takes for granted.

I am a huge Journey fan. This is simply amazing to watch and listen to. I am musician and you have to really appreciate what this guy is doing.

I sometimes get a little agitated by all of the comparisons to these singers with Steve Perry. Remember, without Steve Perry even existing you might not even know these guys! All of them have shaped themselves around Steve's sound. What greater compliment than that? I am sure Steve is very very flattered by all of this.

All I can think of here, Dean is a bird in cage, singing his butt off! It doesn't get any better than this, amazing, singing AND playing,[ Perry has to be proud,]
What an awesome talent is Dean!

Now keep this in mind, He sing this song just as well at Steve, and he is playing the drums at the same time. There are 2 great singers out there that can drum and sing at the same time. Deen and Phil Collins. Singing and playing the drums are always at a different tempo, plus your breathing can't be off a bit or the songs suffers.

At no time is this songs does he miss a beat. Great job.

Try being a drummer and a singer at the same time, without becoming winded. Keeping the beat of the song and the tempo of the vocals. There are 2 great drummers that can do that,. Deen and Phil Collins. Typically the vocals are normally slower than the beat. Hell of a job!!
