@officerspot well wouldnt there be physical barriers stopping the joints so that it cant go beyond human limitation
-
i agree, why cant people use technology for the benifits of human race for once, haven't we learn enough from the past? Nuclear bomb etc... So sick of scientists using their knowledge for war, and killings... As a science major, I'm ashame

Sounds over simplistic, rending the exo-suits in-opt or remote controlling the soldiers with gizmos? If it was that easy we'd lose control of all our predators, strykers, raptors, cruise missiles, etc. More likely they just walk through urban combat with a mini-gun and smart grenade launcher ignoring minor IEDs and small arms forcing people to use massive IEDs and expose themselves with anti-tank weapons.

put some jet engine on it and you will have the iron man suit

Nice..all Sarcos need to do now is hiring the artist from HALO or STARCRAFT to draw and design the outer armor shell to make it complete..

Dude hook me up my back is broke, HELP .

This wasnt even made for war from the start just as normal scientists make it and the miliraty force them to design military versions.
Well as soon as we find alien life forms we can start figthing them and we can have peace on earth for a while.
Imagine if one of those things goes haywire with you in it, moving your arms and legs in ways they are not meant to be. Ouch

That will be interesting indeed~ Taking all soliders down/hostage within minutes and the war ends. Over. That's why these prototype exos were called "The Future of Mobile Coffins". Let's assume people are playing nice and keep every single enemy soliders alive(perhaps as slaves). And then, the title would become "The Future of Mobile Captive Suit"? There are just way too many methods to render these exos "harmless". :-)

I knew about the "BigDog" stuff. It's funny that they took almost 12 years just to "bring it out" from Lab to demo stage. Around 12 years ago, people already made these usable mechanical limb parts in one of those labs. There was even a bipedal prototype which is able to jump 2x its height and land stably on the ground(Through oil spillage is a problem by that time). They didn't have much improvement ever since then. You know, just burning cash and funding based on preceeders' works, perhaps?
