i think the biggest difference i've seen moving to the US is that over here, people don't like whiny people. poor me, woe is me... they like success stories, with "humble" beginnings. they talk about those "humble" times for a bit, then focus on the success and how they achieved it. at home, we like delving into the SAD story. oh his success is a gift from God, it's not the person, it's God. But he lived such a sad, sad life. A sad... sad life. I think it's funny now. But it's true. admittedly.

maybe in sharons mind she is so lucky she didnt experience the kind of life arnel and charice lived before they got international stardom thats why sharon is not bitter of charice or arnels instant rose to international fame becoz sharon knows the kind of lives these two lived before they got discovered internationally sharon is not bitter of charice n arnels success coz she understands unlike martin and asap divas who are bitter they dont have better understanding of charice n arnel rise 2 fame

whats so common about charice and arnel?? coz they started with nothing lived a poverty kind of life and along the way they did sacrifices that led them to big success not only in their homeland but worldwide fame..viewing this video i can compare arnels life to that with sharon cuneta very sheltered life sharon dint experience the harsh realities of life coz she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. arnel n charice made it big worldwide cmpared with Pinas singers who live nice lives.

@snoozy81 if Fil to Fil it's normal because tagalog is the our language but English is being used almost always so its kinda mixed often. sometimes also, it is easier to express yourself in english, then go back to tagalog.

A lot of the Filipinos grew up with TV shows in the Phil featuring local shows as well as American TV shows in English . . . . from Sesame Street to 'Heroes' to Desperate Housewives etc. That is why there is a prevalence of a mix in the language of both English and Tagalog. Plus Arnel performed for years overseas (Hong Kong) which is a former British terrritory. He has to be versatile and became good at it.

Do Philipino people speak in half English and half Philipino? I keep noticing it how they break between the two languages. Anyone know about this?
