JulyZerg vs TheRock - Sauron Zerg

"Sauron Zerg" is a Starcraft term very rarely used because there are very few players capable of living up to its definition, and can only be accomplished by Zerg Progamers with insane Macro skills.

In this OSL game you will see JulyZerg expanding and taking control of 8 bases, meaning unlimited resources flow. He then boxes his enemy and generaly doesn't allow units to leave the contained area.
Thats the perfect setting for Sauron Zerg to take place, JulyZerg starts pumping non-stop units from all those bases directly to the enemy, without even grouping them first! basicly pounding the enemy defenses with endless Zerg waves, hereby accomplishing Sauron Zerg.

Once a Sauron Zerg is in motion nothing can stop it, TheRock holds back a couple of waves, but JulyZerg can continue forever with 8 bases, within a few minutes TheRock is shattered.

Its very heroic to watch, I wish I had better examples of a perfect execution without any grouping, and where the opponent manages to hold back longer but I can't seem to find any atm, in this game TheRock only holds for 2 waves and breaks pretty fast, still a great show though.
JulyZerg is simply amazing, and this tactic is pure Zerg glory, it leaves you in awe of how powerful Zerg can really be.

I cut the first minute of the VOD because it was just over 100mb, obviously you don't miss anything.

"Sauron Zerg" is a Starcraft term very rarely used because there are very few shitty Protoss players capable of doing zero damage in 2 bases while the Zerg expands all over the map.

Anybody can do a Sauron. Problem is to get there.

Sauron are rare because when a Sauron happens, Zerg has already won the game since he is supposed to be on 8 operational bases at least, which means he has had total map control for ever and hasn't felt any threat for a while.

Sauron Zerg is used when theres a zerg like Jae Dong playing against a Toss/Trrn like me. I mean c'mon no zerg is that much more powerful unless you're playing against a much weaker opponent... in that case, any race is more powerful than another.
