Beyond the Hoodie

i grew up on andover estate, and my parents still live there.
we used to call it ' andover your money estate!
even though it has had a bad rep, you do have an even mix of good and bad, just like anywhere else. i couldnt say i'd go back, but i have to say growing up somewhere with a cultural mix like that does hold you in good stead.

I grew up in this area and this estate in the 90's and Yes it was intimidating, as are most estates. Baring in mind if you walk into any structure where people all seem to know each other it tends to always be an intimidating situation at first I think it is important to remember that Young people are learning about the world, so it is the responsibility of the older generations to show them respect and 100% of the time you will receive it back. I never felt unsafe in Andover Estate.
