  • Great vid. I'm putting together a template file based on the tips you've shared. The template will be all Ableton factory plugins with drums, vocals, and instruments grouped and pre-efxd with compressors, eqs, and reverb. Should be a good starting point if not a pre-mixed template where people should just have to plug in their own instruments and vocals. Of course there will be variances but it should be good!

  • Thanks for that Spudsy, just getting into drum programming on Ableton and that really helps. (In case anyone else is using Live 8 Lite - mine came with my Novation Launchpad - it doesn't have the 'Group tracks' function either, but the second way shown here works fine.)

  • Good tutorial but your voice is way too quiet compared to the sound coming from Ableton Live.
