Leah -- [shes unconscious, and bleeding from her forehead bad]
Nick -- [starts crying, trying to stay above the water, but its hard to stay up cuz hes holding onto Leah] Leah wake up! [goes under the water for a second, then back up to the surface] SOMEONE HELP!!! PLEASE!! KEVIN! JOE! ANYONE!!! HELP!!!
Joe -- [runs out with Kevin] oh my god Nick what happened
Nick -- help [goes under the water again]
Kevin -- [jumps in the water, gets Leah, swims back to the surface]
Joe -- [pulls Leah out of the pool, lays her on the ground]
Kevin -- [helps Nick out of the pool] Nick im so sorry i was supposed to be watching you guys and----
Nick -- is she okay? [moves over to where Leah is]
Kevin -- [picks up Leah, takes her into the house]
Nick -- hey!
Joe -- Nick he knows first aid, just let him handle it
Nick -- this is all my fault
Joe -- no its Kevins he was supposed to be watching you guys
Nick -- yeah but i was the one who pushed her into the pool
Joe -- shell be fine Nick
Nick -- you dont know that! what if the people take her away because i hurt her
Joe -- Nick-----
Nick -- im a bad brother! [runs into the house]
Joe -- your not even her brother! [follows him]
Nick -- [goes into the living room]
Leah -- [laying on the couch, still unconscious]
Nick -- is she going to be okay?
Kevin -- well shes breathing now, so im sure shell be fine
Nick -- good
Kevin -- [starts cleaning the cut on Leahs forehead] so how did this happen?
Nick -- we were running on the side of the pool
Kevin -- Nick you know thats dangerous
Nick -- yeah i know, but i didnt think about it
Kevin -- [finishes cleaning up the cut]
Nick -- do you think shell forgive me?
Kevin -- im sure she will
Nick -- [smiles a bit]
Kevin -- can you keep an eye on her? Im going to go call mom to tell her what happened
Nick -- okay
Kevin -- [leaves]
Nick -- [holds Leahs hand]
Leah -- [slowly opens her eyes] Nick?
Nick -- how are you feeling?
Leah -- my head hurts [closes her eyes]
Nick -- im sorry Leah
Leah -- its okay
LATER
Leah -- [still laying on the couch]
Nick -- [sitting next to her]
Mrs. Jonas -- [runs in] Leah sweetie are you okay?
Leah -- [nods]
Mrs. Jonas -- you guys have to be more careful
Nick -- we will be mom
Joe -- they arent going to take her away are they?
Mrs. Jonas -- no they wont, it was an accident
Nick -- good, cuz i dont want her to leave
Leah -- [smiles a bit]
Nick -- [smiles, hugs her]
THAT NIGHT
Leah -- [sleeping, having a nightmare, wakes up, screaming and crying]
Nick -- [runs into her room, jumps onto the bed, hugs her] shh Leah its okay
Leah -- [hugs him back, crying harder]
Kevin -- [comes in] whats going on?
Nick -- nothing, i can handle it
Kevin -- Nick your only 10, you -----
Nick -- shes fine Kevin
Kevin -- fine, but if you need anything----
Nick -- bye Kevin
Kevin -- whatever [leaves]
Leah -- Nick how did you get in here so fast?
Nick -- i couldnt sleep
Leah -- why?
Nick -- i felt bad about what happened today
Leah -- oh
Nick -- [wipes her tears] are you okay?
Leah -- [nods] i am now
Nick -- want me to stay?
Leah -- [nods, lays back down on the bed]
Nick -- [lays next to her] we have to get up early tmrw
Leah -- yeah for yucky school
Nick -- [laughs]
THE NEXT DAY
Mrs. Jonas -- [parks the car at Nicks school]
Nick -- [gets out] bye mom
Leah -- [gets out of the car too]
Mrs. Jonas -- Nick make sure Leah finds everything okay?
Nick -- kay
Mrs. Jonas -- [drives off]
Nick -- [holds Leahs hand, walks into the school]
Leah -- Nick i want to stay with you
Nick -- well you cant, were not in the same grade
Leah -- but i dont want to be by myself
Nick -- youll be fine [walks her to her classroom] ill come find you at recess okay?
Leah -- kay
Nick -- [kisses her head, goes to his classroom]
Leah -- [walks into her classroom, and everyone turns to look at her, and a couple kids point and laugh, she runs out of the classroom, and sits with her back against the wall, tears rolling down her cheeks]
