Our setup and application uses the camera mounted on the front of the HMD to display the real world with the virtual left arm superimposed, thereby augmenting the reality otherwise known to the user.
Virtual Reality is when the entire world is virtual. A part of the project also examined how AR and VR compared as treatments, finding that AR provided better illusion and preference toward AR.
