Sexy ≠ Sexist

Down with double standards! The worst kind of sexism is the kind that doesn't even realize it's being sexist.

When I see "mature", "progressive" people overreact to the female form in popular media, or start dismissing the Skullgirls designs as "slutty fanservice" simply because the cast is female (OMG boobs :O), or blindly talk **** about DOA with even touching the fricking game, it sorta pisses me off.

It seems that some folks out have no respect for the female form or its beauty...trivializing anything that even vaguely calls attention to the female form as mere "fanservice". Meanwhile, male characters have been walking around with little clothing since SF2. No one calls Zangief or Urien hos...no one tells them to cover up.

Say no to knee-jerk, immature hatred of the female form. Say yes to appreciation of the human figure, both male and female!

Sooner or later, people are going to have to come to terms with one simple fact:
The human body is attractive. Deal with it.

Sex Appeal isn't necessarily Sexist if you do it right.

@Francyspai I agree. The human body shouldn't be this big of a deal.

I think the world in general needs to learn how to appreciate the beauty/sexiness of the human body (both female AND male) while still being able to respect thehuman being.

It's really not that hard to do.

If everyone had the maturity and common sense to be able to do this, the world would be a happier place :)

Prudes are a pet peeve of mine. So the girls are designed to titillate...and? It's a fictional universe and that's the point. Why is it OK for Chun-Li to violate every law of physics by doing a Spinning Star Kick, but it's a problem when Kitana fights half naked in high-heels(on sand too!)? You can be a perfectly intelligent person IRL and still enjoy humongous balloon breasts in your games without shame. That's what that ESRB sticker means when it says "Mature".

@chaoarecool in vega's case, it makes perfect sense for him to be pretty, that's his entire character. cammy/chun-li/viper otoh don't have any justification like that.

and try looking up vega fanart and cammy fanart and compare it!!! the results might surprise you!!!

(btw after typing this i gis'd "cammy fanart" and two of the top results are a pic of cammy with her nipples poking out of her leotard and a pic of cammy and chun making out)

@SomethingRules Ok but you seem to have almost no issue with characters like Vega,Ky,Benimaru, Brigitte(who was made for girls for some odd reason), Anji though. And the 3d kof games don't have the prettiest girls in the games, same goes for some of the girls in SFEX

I don't agree with the over sex in women in video games but there are a lot of fan service for girls. NO one would fight in leather pants like Lee does, NO one would fight in Tux like Beck, Fang, or Kazayua, NO one would fight in what ever the heck Vega or Zapp or Faust or Venom wears. Yes some females have slutty or stupid outfits but so do men.
