If you dont have a mic then just change the Audio Input window to "Stereo Mix"

@swann07 THANKS

Went into my control panel and sound and boosted microphone levels and quality but now it's just louder but still tinny and mono sounding. I guess that's the limitation of the computer. I'm finished tinkering with this now, Not an epic fail just disappointing,

The playback volume is really low plus it's in mpa format. So I can't get the song into a playlist. Also stereo mix was not found and the movie maker is very sluggish and freezes a lot. For instance I try to adjust the input level with slider and it freezes the movie maker. I can hear my fans revving up so it's stressing the computer somehow. Running Vista.
I'll just hold my cell phone over the speakers to get the sound.
This is too complicated and the result not good quality.

Unbelievable.
I've spent so much time on the web searching for recording tools,but none of them worked.
And the whole time i could have just used WMM.

On Vista go to control panel/sound/recording. In the blank area under the devices shown, right click and select "show disabled devices." This brought up "Rec. Playback" device for me. Go into it's properties and enable it. You should be good to go now. You can use Movie Maker or Sound Recorder to record off the internet now. Hope this helps.

i just tried that, dosent show up on mine. i guess itll vary between pc's. If u have vista on a dell inspiron, it will not work unfortunately. only way u could do it on vista on any PC is getting a 2 way headphone jack cable and plug both ends on the headphone input and the microphone input and record it through that.
