Film français réalisé par Bartabas en russe et entièrement tourné en Russie. Un homme et un chamane s'évadent d'un goulag sibérien. Le chamane ne peut poursuivre le chemin mais son esprit continuera de protéger son compagnon d'infortune jusqu'à Moscou.

I first saw this film in 1996. I got to the theater early, Lincoln Center in New York City. I still have a letter that I wanted to mail to the director, BARTABAS.

Now, over a decade later, I have the same question... how can I see this movie again?

Hello Elizabeth ! The russian movie club of our university organized a projection of this movie 2 years ago and Bartabas, as well as scenarist Mr. Gouraud and the producer A. Avelitchev were there. The thing is, one of our teachers was the producer of the film. If you want to pass your message through us, I'm pretty sure it will get to Bartabas. To see the movie, you probably should come to France to buy it...

Un film vivant... la ligne de fuite que trace le personnage qui fugue du goulag... Stimulant... le héros malgré les difficultés rencontrées monte en puissance, ivre de liberté, emporté par sa monture, cadeau d'un chamane qui lui apprend le vivant... Un cri panthéiste! Une danse du cavalier et de son destrier à travers la glace. La trajectoire libre se trace sans finalité, mais dans la joie puissante du moment qui se vit pleinement! Sandrine

This movie is available on Amazon.com. The problem is that it is coded for a particular region that most dvd players in this country can't play. I wonder if there is a way to transfer it or somehow change the region parameters digitally? Does anyone know about this? I would so love to see this film.

Genial pelicula!! solo que es muy dificil de conceguir en castellano.

Le 25 septembre.... de quelle année ? Et quelles conditions de projection (original 35mm ou dvd ?).

Avec plusieurs amies russophones nous voudrions re/voir ce film (qui me touche très fort mais qui, comme je l'ai perçu, ne fait pas l'unanimité en Russie).
