@cardonaman no he did not. Geoff is "pulling" his punches on Justin. This is simply a targeting drill so you can perfect your aim when striking.

There's no follow through on the punches. The striker is deliberately pulling punches so as not to needlessly kill his training partner.

Geoff Thompson is a truly fantastic teacher, an excellent writer and above all an inspirational martial artist. His pragmatic, no nonsense approach to real world combat is a must see for any serious fighter.
