the crankshaft design is stupid. i looked at the drawings and saw all the roller bearings for the maybach crankshaft. should have used plain bearings like conventional engines because it would have been far cheaper and easier to build. these tanks were only expected to have a short life so why over engineer it? plain bearings would have been just as good.

Cool crankshaft! It took me a minute to find the main journals.

it is a new part??? rebulid?

germans made a nice tank but usa had more slightly worse tanks strength in numbers!
if the metal is thick enough on a crank you can regrind it and just have new bearings made
-
even more impressive is how great german engineering and materials are, so they could withstand such conditions to a state when they could be restored
-
actually it seems that EVERYTHING was reused from the river and was reconditioned by certian companies. that's impressive to build a running engine out of one that was under water for 45 YEARS

well, but i dont have a use for it. i don`t know how to build an a-bomb ;)

But you CAN find Uranium on eBay!
is it for pz.V panther which i've seen at beltring 2007?

I think the Panther you saw at Beltring is owned by the Cadmans in the UK. This Panther is in the U.S. This is one of the Panthers that was in the "Tank Overhaul" series.
