ok some missed notes, some areas where a sustain would have added magic but overall as a sort of composer and romantic of music, I admire the sheer character and whim of vastly more than the standard robotic school of colouring book by the numbers note players. What depth and feeling the boy has! Fab!!!

Amazing technique, but he somehow sucked all the excitement from the piece. Some people are just not destined to be be great virtuosos no matter how good their technique is - they lack the charisma and artistic imagination. I'm sure he'll make a great teacher at a conservatoire, accompanist or member of a trio though.

GemelCarlos - check out his liszt sonata and hug rhaps #6 - he might have one of the great octave techniques of all time, though his detailing sometimes needs to be cleaner.
