PART 2 of 3:
Nutnfancys look at an in-service Beretta M9 service pistol. The M9 was one of the designs that helped change the world looks at semi-automatic pistols due to its reliability and demonstrated durability. It has amassed a generally excellent track record in service with the military but does have some drawbacks. I contend its overly large for the 9mm loading even when compared against other full size pistols, its entirely too heavy, has more complexity, and can be less reliable than the Glock and Sig designs (from my OWN experience which is irrefutablesaw it with my own eyesyours may vary). However it has a decent traditional SA/DA trigger, good accuracy, tough weather-resistant Bruniton finish, and good firepower. The open slide was a modification designed to help reliability but its overrated in purpose and other closed-slide designs have proven extremely reliable in equally dirty conditions. Nowadays the Beretta is a dated design that has been surpassed by lots of other handguns in the categories listed. Nutnfancy Likeability Scale: 5 out of 10

  • what happened to your hand man?

  • @xxspudyxx2 It's a double stack mag. You want a thin gun, you need a single stack. Maybe you are thinking of a 1911.

  • @xxspudyxx2 It's double stack mag and think-ish grips means that it's wider than a lot of other pistols. Especially compared to polymer framed pistol where the M92 is almost 1cm thicker in the grips.

  • i am a former MP and i love the M9 / 92. i have carried this weapon both on the road and on missions and i have never really had any problems with it. honestly i like this weapon so much that i went out and got a beretta 92D. same gun with a few small changes. i love the M9.

  • I thought the beretta was one of the thinest handgun ther is?????

  • @nutnfancy Would a CZ-75 compare to the polymer Glock in terms of durability and reliability? I (ignorantly) thought that all-steel guns were at the top for durability.

  • I definitely this gun has a 2nd type of cool factor for me. Thinking about it's service record, and all the men and women who have defended life, limb, and country with these guns is pretty cool to me. Appreciate the service nutn!

  • wow first of all m9 went to iraq and afgan with me and i've shot a glock if my life depend on it i would take the m9.

  • @nutnfancy where can one get a leather shoulder holster for an m9? i looked every where and found nothing. i heard that ... Miami something-or -other making shoulder holsters but im not sure if its true.

  • That cut on your hand was from a Spyderco Tenacious!!!!
