Charted at #48 on the Canadian CHUM chart in April 1965. Did not chart on the U.S. Hot 100. During the mid'60's (and I'm guessing in a move at least partly inspired by the success of British artists crossing over to the US charts at the time), French artists such as Sylvie Vartan and Francoise Hardy made an attempt to break into the North American market by releasing singles in English and appearing on popular American music tv shows. It was an idea that never caught on in the US, although these artists continued to have widespread success in their own countries and many others. I have seen Sylvie performing this song on "Hullabaloo".
i've been listening to this over and over! thanks for posting! now,i'm looking forward to another songs by her.

I loved this song, but when I was trying to find it, my family told me they'd never heard it and thought I was making it up. I remember seeing her on Hullabaloo too. Glad now I can prove I've not imagining this.
