My adaption of RJ classic on my great new/old Republic Reso-relic guitar.
These Republic resos are set up just like National and are brilliant value, email me or search Republic Guitars , Texas, ebay or the web.
People often write and say why don't you play it exactly note for note, I get jack of this and reply , what's the point, parrots can copy human vocals exactly , but I prefer to make it a little original doing it differently.
So before you write ( you know who you are!) there's your answer.
Whoops, must be getting paranoid of criticism!!

  • You are true and you believe in what you are doing. Very good feeling in your tunes.

Go on like this, maybe you should record some faster songs too.

All the best from Peter in Sweden

  • Pete , thanks so much for your appreciation, Unfortunately, I can't play faster tempos on acoustic resonator, unless I'm playing with a band in a shuffle feel.

Just don't have the chops, but I can feel the slower blues sometimes.

    Cheers, Dean

  • Thanks very much

  • I'm getting a Nevada Resonator soon I'll join this niche group of people that enjoy this type of guitars....

Awesome! I can't wait. Well played!

  • Thanks , enjoy your new reso, send something when you can.

    Dean

  • I agree with you 100%! Johnson probably never played it the same way twice. His recording captured how he played it that particular day way back when.

  • I agree with you, even tho it was NINE months back,

    Thanks
