@Hijabiwhoflew Thats not the only situation in which lieing a deceit are recommended. Muslims are allowed to deceive unbelievers if it will help "protect" them. This can be seen in the modern context when the Mujihadeen in afghanistan aligned themselves with the americans to fight off the russians, only to stab the americans in the back later.

Islam is not a language therefore there is no such thing as an islamic word. Taqiyah is when a Muslim is threatened and it would be better for them to lie in that instance they are given permission, for example. Some is scared for their life because they are muslim, they can then say they are not without being penalized.

Islamic Taqiyah is well known to people who have dealt with them. It is 99.99999999999999% impossible for islamists to admit it though they practice it openly.

In short Taqiyah is:
