I went with Takeaway contributor and ESSENCE senior editor Patrik Henry Bass to watch Senator Obama's acceptance speech in the historic African-American Denver neighborhood of Five Points, at Tracy Moore's beauty salon, Hairworks. People came from across the political spectrum, and reactions to the speech ranged from totally enthusiastic to feeling like he "hadn't quite sealed the deal, yet."
In general, however, people seemed proud, excited, and very aware that they were watching history being made.
I guess I'm the only person who thinks this whole Obama thing is a joke. A shame, Nader would have been a much better candidate for the average working American.
