  • The singer is Jack Holmes, best known for his popular, "I'm a Pepper" jingle for Dr. Petter. The announcer is similar to Joe Sirola, but it is not Joe. I directed Joe in 1987 for a radio commercial promoting tourism in Los Angeles, There's another Sure TV spot of this campaign that definitely features the signature style of Joe Sirola, You can find it on YouTube. It has Ned Wilson on a horse, a woman cop directing traffic, and a class of graduating midshipmen throw their hats in the air.

  • @HateFoundation Thanks for the info.

  • According to AdSlogans the slogon is from 1984 by Wells, Rich, Greene. They link to a video but it's a different one. Perhaps checking the Ad Agency Wells, Rich, Greene will help.

  • Thanks I added it to the keywords

  • this seems like a fake!

  • I never doctor any of my videos other than a basic cleanup. Anything you see is a product of the time.

  • @Busterwolf1176 It most assuredly is. I use it

  • @elithecat this is 100% real!! I remember this commercial very 100%.

  • @pootao66 so true what you said, and yet its even more brilliant than that.. The jingle is totally gospel based, thus adding a religious reason to buy this deodorant. Most of the commercials in the 80's stood apart from the then current trends in music and favored gospel/musical type jingles. I wish some budding sociologist would write a paper on 80's commercials, they were so different from any other decade imo.

  • This is the most brilliant patriotic commercial ever made, coinciding with Reagan's reelection year no coincidence. The idea is that Liberty symbolizes America's returning confidence. The raised hand, historically to immigrants, shows we are sure of our freedoms. Glad the govt. isn't allowed to make commercials to make us loyal, this one shows how powerful they can be.

  • how the heck did i get here

  • @Busterwolf1176 yes it is.

  • there seems to be a lot of jingles geeks on here
