It has 3 different operations Mode:
Mode A) Left Light flash quickly for 4 times, Right Light flash quickly for 4 times. Repeat continuously.
Mode B) Left Light flash once, Right Light flash once. Repeat continuously.
Mode C) Left and Right Light flash once at the same time. Repeat continuously.
It can be easily controlled by on/off switch button.

Yeah alot are that way in the US and Canada.
Though there are ones where they have separate yelow/amber turnsignals.
Also the 3rd brake light is just a brake light.

My friend had a red and blue strobe app on his phone, he put it on the windshield while I drove and one car infront of us actually parked on the side of the road.
