I'd be curious to know where the money came from to build a 20-30,000 dollar race car? I know when I was in high school I could barely afford to buy, build up, and race a $600 Camaro.

engine was built by a outside speed shop not by the students, fail.

That is not the quickest or fastest high school car. The East Hickman High School Drag car (Eagle 1) as seen on the series "drag race high" on the speed channel , has been 8.69 @ 153 , using only 1 stage of the 2 stage nitrous set up on the car. it weighs 3000 lbs , and is on 28x10.5 slicks , and still uses the factory type suspension. it will eaisly go sub-8.50's on both stages. I'm not claiming that its the fastest high school car , but it is faster than this car.
