Recently, Everest College-Henderson students received the opportunity to acquire career wear that will help them make good first impressions with potential employers.
"Everest representatives approached Goodwill to hold an event that would allow their students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college, to have access to affordable career wear" said Goodwill President & CEO Steve Chartrand. Goodwill of Southern Nevada set-up a "mobile" store on campus on June 2nd and 3rd from 9am to 3pm and allowed Everest-Henderson faculty to take part as well.
Everest College-Henderson student Markela McFadden noted "If you're not dressed professionally, nobody is going to hire you, and you only get one chance for a first impression."
Everest-Henderson Campus President David Fritz stated that Everest's career training encompasses more than just learning on-the-job skills: "We put a great deal of emphasis on professional attitude and behavior, as well as professional attire. And working with Goodwill, we're going to be able to provide the type of clothing students will need to go out and make that positive first impression."
