Vladimir Horowitz play faster as any pianist alive our not the étude op. 25 n. 3 of Frédéric Chopin.
London, Abbey Road Studios, 12.5.1934.
The faster trillo ever. metronome mark at 152. Nobody can repeat at this speed four notes with a finger! Not human.
This is not a rare recording but nobody put it on youtube.

  • @rvn10rvn17 Chopin's etudes are by far better than Liszt's etudes!!!! They are some of the greatest pieces ever written. Have you ever bothered to sit down and listen to all of them, especially Valentina Lisitsa's recording? You can truly hear Chopin's emotions in each and every one, Liszt's are a buch of notes smashed together. Etudes Op.10 No.10, Op.25 No.5 Op.25 No.8, Op.25 No.9,Op.25 No.10, Op.25 No.12.......listen closely.

  • @jdaesaorn2012 I agree with you on the second part. Liszt is an acquired taste. The first time I lisztened (haha punny) to Mazeppa I thought that it was just plain ugly. But the more I listened to it, the more I heard its beauty. Pianists shouldn't require that the piece sounds amazing/cool/beautiful to decide to play it. I was never really a huge fan of Mozart, then I played K310. It wasn't a piece I would listen to for hours on end, but today it is still one of my favorites to play.

  • @lorditachijr but it should at least catch some of a potential player's attention. i think ppl like chopin's because there's more melody (and lyricism?) in it. [opinion]

  • I like a faster recording, but still remembers me of the horses. Thanks to the three (Chopin, Horowitz and video poster).

  • @rvn10rvn17 I agree that, as a whole, Liszt's etudes are better than Chopin's, but there are a couple of Chopin's that I think are real standouts which I enjoy more than many of Liszt's. I think it's all a matter of opinion.

  • @lorditachijr liszt's transcendental honestly beats chopin's in almost every aspects..

  • @Gargantupimp ummm you just said the exact opposite of what your opinion was in your first comment, no? And I never said it wasn't awesome, you did. I think etudes, especially Chopins, are beautiful in a different way than other pieces.

  • @lorditachijr no this piece is awesome, etudes by then take on a whole new role than just exercises or studies.

  • @Gargantupimp it's not a piece really....it's an etude. not meant to sound "pretty"

  • can you hear the horses ?!!!!
