  • This video really makes me miss the days when g4 was about gaming and not about the lowest common denominator. I really miss informative shows like Icons. I wish history channel or discovery or something would start producing in-depth shows about the history of gaming.

  • amen to that

  • I fucking love Final Fantasy. This series will always have a special place in my heart. The games held hundreds upon hundreds of hours of game play and re-playability. To this date I won't hesitate to pop one of the classics in.

  • The first game I played was Rad Race from Square

  • lol i am watching this video in 2012

  • Nes= the early years of Final Fantasy

SNES= the golden years of the series

PSX= the evolution years of the series

PS2= a slow in decline which started after X (the departure of the original team, the merging with a rival company and the flop of Spirit within)

PS3/Xbox260= the dark ages (I pray that Versus XIII does better)

  • @ 0:45 of the video when the narrator says "Find out where it came from, and where it's going" Sadly, we all know that it's going somewhere that isn't as badass as where the first ten games in the series came from :(

  • The old final fantasys remind me of pokemon....

  • @Sentinal6 Ohh... and the music for FF3; even as an 8bit game.... JUST GIVES ME THE GREATEST BONER.

  • @Sentinal6 But please don't defend your case on FF12 and then talk crap about 4 -_- ... ... Oh I'm sorry, you posted that 6months ago :) how rude of me, but yeah. I've made my point.

  • @Sentinal6 Just pressing "A" is what gets you killed in the old final fantasy games, And a lot of people find the older Final Fantasy game themes a lot more appealing than the new, the fact that it was more mid-evil lore with a great fair of that fantasy psychedelic thrill, (which is why I personally love the classics. III and V ) the newer Final Fantasy games look almost as if they're trying to appeal to fashion and drama. Final Fantasy XII Did that a bit less, so I cant knock your opinion.
