He describes it as: The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The "Cloward Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

One of the aims of Coward Piven was to change the gov't giving of free shit to the poor keeping them at the poverty line to increase the giving to put them into the middle class. The govt is doing it now. A new housing development built near my house 3 years ago is not on its way to being trashed by the occupants. Maybe there is something that goes wrong with the people who are given stuff and never worked for it at all.
