President Obama to Assad on chemical weapons use: 'There will be consequences'

Rachel Maddow shares the news making line from President Barack Obama's speech on nuclear non-proliferation at the National Defence University in fort McNair, in which he cautioned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad against the consequences of using chemical weapons against Syrian rebels in his own country.

Assad is bringing peace to Syria, in future people will ask the question... How come Israel, Turkey, NATO and the Wahhabi Kingdoms failed here? What did they do wrong?

They don't mention that the March 19 chemical attack was an attack on Syrian soldiers killing 16 of them. Same Rebels that Kidnapped 21 UN peacekeepers on March 7. Or March 22 when rebels suicide car bombed a mosque killing over 60 people. How about Today April 29 when suicide car bomb kills 10 including civilians, trying to assassinate the Syrian PM said CNN. Sounds like terrorism to me. These are foreign backed rebels being funded to overthrow its government.

If we really want to put an end to the senseless killing, the only option left is to do to our government what the "rebels" are doing to Assad. We will have no external help. We will need no external help. Our citizens are heavily armed and for exactly this reason. Will the war criminals running our country fire on us? You bet they will. They are preparing for that scenario as I type this. But, we will win. Unless our government uses WMD's on us before we try 'em and hang 'em high

None of this, or any of the never ending wars of Imperialist aggression we are involved in, would be an issue if we would stop using our intelligence assets all over the world to destabilize sovereign nations while installing murderous dictatorships under the guise of liberation. Nobody seems to think to ask this question: What is the red line for the REBELS? Or is there any? They were bragging on videos about testing the chems on rabbits. They fired the rocket into a known Syrian army area and gee, they killed 16 Syrian army soldiers. Get it thru your heads folks - we're on the side as al Qaeda, al Nusra, and the Syrian Islamic Front to establish an Islamic Syria in place of a progressing secular one. The news reports have completely misled us about Assad's character.
