HD-DVD is dead, the hi-def format war is finally over, toshiba conceded and has announced it's stopping production.
What's left for a sucker to do byt destroy his HD-DVD xbox 360 player in fire?
looks like SONY just had more money to throw around buying off studios and retailers for its version of a hi definition content disk. whatever, so long as we can have something before all physical media is made utterly obsolete by the awesomeness of online digital delivery. Enjoy your short lived victory Sony.

  • I'm not a Sony "fanboy" but I TOLD YOU SONY WOULD WIN!!! The HD DVD/360 is inferior technology at 720p and component cables, compared to 1080p and HDMI cables. Blu-rays also have a scratch-resistant surface and hold more data. You know what sucks about the 360? They FINALLY got an hdmi port, but only for the expensive models, AND IT DOESN'T COME WITH AN HDMI CABLE!!! (ps3 didn't either, wtf)

  • @vigilante8fan If you're not a "fanboy" then why are you digging up videos that are TWO YEARS OLD just to jump and flail around like a child about how you were "right" screaming "I TOLD YOU SO"? LOL sad little twat.

  • @Thegateoftruth1 whats the point of buying HD DVD? There are no new titles available eventually you will have to buy blu ray if you want to watch new Hi-def movies

  • I bet you regret burning that game system now that blu ray and hd dvd are dead.

  • Today at work, some one returned Blood Diamond on HD DVD. I decided to buy it since it would be cool to have one of the discs... I just need a player to watch it. lol

  • in a few years that hd dvd drive is gonna be worth alot of money and so r the movies after a few more microsoft consoles surpass the 360 just remember the value on things look up on ebay n64 disc drive people r selling them for 999.00

  • Don't get why he had to burn the device; it's not even broken. Plus the smoke will only compromise his health. Just starting my HD DVD collection. Yay.

  • I wouldn't call the HD DVD format worthless..its still a great way to buy cheap HD titles for pennies that are still quite expensive on Bluray.

  • @vigilante8fan component cables can do 1080p.

  • what's with those silly squeaky repeating sequences. it's silly and a little childish..

  • One is better then the other, but more in storage, BluRay wins! haha, YOU LOST? Now that's being a FanBoy. HDDVD could not be supported because Toshiba did not have the backing, but I just bought one, it's cheap enough, you know?! It's ALL ABOUT price
