The new 1 ounce E-flite Blade MCX 4 channel coax heli is stable, maneuverable and a dream to fly. This one came with the 2.4GHz DSM2 radio, for $129.99. The gyros are excellent in this heli. When you make a control input, then let off...It tends to slow, then want to stand still, rather than skid off into the direction of your initial joystick command. You'll see in the vid that once trimmed, it will fly hands-off!
@HPIxDrift Yes, it makes no difference. I get the fastest forward motion by yawing the nose left a bit while counteracting with opposite aileron. It moves forward at about double the forward speed, but still not faster than you can walk.
@bakonlicious Msr will fly fwd faster than you can run. It's not as stable as the mcx but I'd still consider it a good trainer for anyone who already has the orientation neurons connected in his head. Best place to start flying it is outside in calm winds...Less to bang into.
@j6sj7 oh ok. well thats why its a trainer.
