I have heard of Thau, but this is the first time I have actually heard his voice. Very impressive and really French - what a treat. Soviero, of course, was always a treat and her commercial recordings are so few and rare. Thanks very much for this post.

I never tire of telling folks that pulling the curtain for Ms. Soviero's first appearance as Violetta - mid 70's, Virginia Opera Association - was my true introduction to opera. Need I say I have been enamored of the art form and the artist, ever since?
