By popular demand, I've re-recorded Adam Nitti's "Fritter Boy" in its entirety.

Obviously I don't have a six string bass, so adjustments had to be made in certain parts, notably the sweeps. Beyond that, I don't play Adam's exact walking line at the end. Rather than transcribe his part, I've just improvised over the chord changes, which follow a jazz blues pattern.

"What's with the video cut in the middle?!" ...my Canon A80 can only record 3 minute video clips, so for songs over 3 minutes I have to record two (or more) parts. It's crap, but I have to work with what I've got. :)

Thanks to Adam for the great music and for his genius teachings for the short time I studied under him!

My instrument is an older model Spector Euro 5 Neck-Thru with two EMG DC-40s. I run through an old Korg AX1B processor straight into my soundcard, and video and sound are synced in Windows Movie Maker.

There are no tabs for this, so don't ask. Adam should be releasing his transcription book at some point, so just wait for that! Or do what I did and just transcribe it yourself!

Enjoy!

  • Can you say plagiarism?? You stole so much from victor wootens piece latin grove on his 2 hand tapping video and just riddled in some crap and now youre trying to call it your own.

  • @tigno0 People like you are my favorite. I'll leave this comment up for everybody else's enjoyment.

  • @jmatthews13 I was a bit harsh the other day. You do a good job playin that wooten stuff gotta give victor props tho. some of it was a little incohesive but i do like the runs up and down the strings.

  • @tigno0 I'm sorry for your reading skills. In the description it's clear that this is not my piece and was instead written by Adam Nitti. If you are so inclined and feel so strongly about your claim of plagiarism, I encourage you to write Adam a letter identifying the parts of this tune that have infringed upon Victor's copyright (Adam and Victor are good friends, by the way). I can't promise you that Adam's trashcan will care much more about this than anybody else, though. Have a good day!

  • man how high is your action?

  • @blockopastorius For this bass I'm just shy of 2mm at the 12th fret, which is between 2/32 and 3/32, which is pretty standard.

  • @julzdrums Here's an exercise for you. First, tell me what key I'm in. Next, tell me where you think I'm out of key.
