Michael has an amazing voice and an amazing testimony. I'm glad he's back with the Gaithers, as he put it....again.lol....God has truly blessed him.  God Bless You.

Give him a break, he had surgery to remove some throat polyps, maybe it just takes time to heal up guys. Although i can remember i used to sing better back in the day too. But the message still gets through loud and clear. Love ya Mike, and praying for you.

never get tired of hearing "any" version of this amazing song. English does much justice to delivering the true message of this song in a way all his own. He's an amazing talent & witness for Jesus Christ. amen

The first person to sing this song in the simular style was John Starnes and he sung it also with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and it gave me chills. I think that any singer when they sing a song will sing it in the way they feel it. It is like trying to compare the many translations of the Bible everyone relates better to one or the other but the bottom line is the important message they all carry which is the same, the message of God. We need to stay focus on the message that being sung.

Why can't you just sit back and listen to words and thank God for His mercy. I don't know much about the voice but like all parts of the body maybe it needs a rest now and then. But it is Christ in Him that sings so lovely. I have read the post and how in the world could a person know what Bill Gaither was going to do such as fire Michael English. You have put a secular spin on a heavenly work.. I think Bill Gaither is deeper in his faith than you are giving him credit for.

wow! i am a latecomer to Southern gospel music and i think Michael English is like fine wine the older he gets the better he gets! Because of GVB i even know who he is, and now that he's back i don't know? GVB is totally my favorite the lineup right now is my favorite but i would love to throw russ taff back in there too!

i got a question why is that we tend to focus more on the singer than the message that they are trying to minister to us to. this my ppl is why and how so many of us miss our blessing and/or breakthrough, cause you cant seem to hear what Christ is trying to tell you for getting in your own way!! so let forget about how good he used to be and enjoy the music if that your preference if not then find something else. stop worrying about the delivery of the message but hear the message itself
