ANDRA Definition AA/FC - Alcohol funny car (AA refers to engine size, NOT NHRA's nitromethane category). TA/FC is similar, but running larger overdrive.

5.79 is potential for 1000ft? AA/FC are running sub 4 seconds in the 1000ft....5.79 blows for a AA... that is NOT a AA/FC...that was an alky car

@drumguy1960 It's an ANDRA definition class. More details in the link. So it doesn't "blow" at all. In fact, it's one of the record holders in the class.

nitro ? never seen a funnycar on fuel with 3 gears. fuel ran high gear only i though .

Why did he not give it full power all the way through?

The problem was when you go faster than your set index time for WA Top Comp, it reduces the time for later runs to nearer what you run, reducing the advantage over opponents. He needed as much of his index as there were four AA/As that had over half a second advantage before they had even begun (there were very few AA/A times set before, resulting in a weaker index).
