Question 2 will gut municipalities of the funds they need to maintain safe roads and bridges, ensure that streets are plowed, and make sure Mainers get to work on time and children get to school safely. Question 2 only cuts the excise tax for a faction of the public, while 68% of the general public won't see any cuts at all. In fact, municipal officials say, if Question 2 passes, they will have no option but to increase property taxes. Bottom line, we all use the roads, we should all pay to maintain them.
Please cut the crap!
The Class-Warfare stuff is old school, knee-jerk liberalism.
This bill lets Maine families save real money on Hondas and Fords and Toyotas too!!! Why do the liberals only want to talk about RICH PEOPLE and their luxury cars???
Turn the Page!!!
I want to buy a new Hybrid and save SEVEN monthly payments!!!
That's real money in MY pocket - instead of the same money being pi**ed away by the pencil-pushing, paper-shuffling lackies in town government!!
YES ON 2!
