Phillipa Fallon recites a Beatnik poem.

The poem is an odd mix of downbeat phrases and ironic commentary on everyday life, together with random lrimshot-type jazz music and lively finger-snapping between verses.

Philippa Fallon was born with the birth name Ferne Mark, which she kept until she came to Hollywood and tentered the entertainment business.

The poem she recites in this clip was written in 1958 by Mel Welles.

Trivia: The piano player is Jackie ("Uncle Fester") Coogan. .
