@hope143cody Yes where else would the water have come from =). I was just explaining how natural ones are formed. Yours was not natural. And grass can make a tighter and more water holding mesh, that blister could have gotten much larger. Especially if the lawn was laid sod instead of planted. And the soil under the sod was poor and had a lot of clay. New sod of course would not it would have to be old sod because the water would just run out the seems.

On my grandpas farm near his springs you would get this type effect. When we were kids we called them natural trampolines. We were always disappointed though because the cows would go through and destroy them with their hooves. These things are cause by the vegetation roots creating a thick woven mess called thatch I think, the water floats the thatch. Floating islands can form this way in nature. A single stab with a shovel should have popped this blister. I bet it was fun to jump on =).

before you said sprinkler head i was gonna say you better call a plumber and wash her feet your septic tank has somthing wrong but you said sprinkler head so..... its not
