A Kone elevator mechanism going through its paces. It's one of four in the room, hence the other noises.

  • its at the top, the whole green thing is what it is. also a hassle if you drop your tools

  • 9.8m/sec^2 for the lose.

  • I'd rather have these than the monospace machine roomless design. they are dangerous to work on

  • Yeah ... um, how do you even work on those things? Where's the motor unit located, in the pit or top of the shaft?

If it's at the top of the shaft, I'd hope that it can all be serviced via an access hatch on the side of the shaft...!!

  • Imagine having this machine at the top of the shaft!!

  • This just in: Spiderman hired by Kone Maintenance...

  • what do you mean?

  • I figured as much. The cabs do say Montgomery Kone on some of the trim.

  • This must be before the EcoDisc motor came out, and maybe Kone passed on the brown colored power units of their Montgomery counterparts.
