You are telling the whole truth, singing is not about ego....put yourself somewhere else and just let positive shine through and be true to yourself. I may not sing as well as someone else, but I do what I do for the song and let the song reside in my spirit and when that happens I feel that I can make it mine while I sing it....the way I sing it.
