This video is a collection of photos from my second visit to Pahalgam in 2005. It's one of my favorite places; the people are beautiful and the landscape is gorgeous.

The Kashmiris are dying for their freedom (azad), yet a resolution seems a long way off. Neither India nor Pakistan want to relinquish their stronghold on a state that wants to be independent from both countries decades old politics, which many feel are related to water rights. Fighting in the region has worsened since the Mumbai attacks.

I hope to return to Pahalgam one day and gift these amazing people with their portraits!

  • @LaliSJamwal Ghandi sahib was a man of great insight, he wanted to give kashmiri's the opportunity to decide whom they wanted their country to be with. I am a kashmir and want independence from india and pakistan and china

  • I am from India (not Kashmiri), and I agree with you: if we Indians cannot bother to care about the Kashmiri PEOPLE, then we have no right over it. It's not a matter of territory: it's the people. Sure, militancy is a problem, and I fear that wahabbi Islam will take over (a movement that may destroy the unique Muslim, Hindu and Buddhist cultural roots of Kashmir). But that gives us NO right to harass the citizens of Kashmir!

I look forward to the day when we have a peaceful united Kashmir!

  • bahenchoooooood hindustan ....

  • @seasonedsevencolors

OK. Good for them and Good for you!

  • @sunlightstream Iran is not the only land named after Aryans. In ancient times a major portion of north & north-west India (including parts of what are now known as Pakistan and Afghanistan) was known as 'AryaVarta' = land of the Aryans. Many knowledgeable Hindus still pride themselves on their Aryan traditions and heritage. Hinduism's most authoritative works are of 'Aryan' origin, whatever you may consider it as - race from Caucasus/ north Iran or culture from India.

  • @Shkhelkhshk

However you are incorrect they are not arabs, kalash or Mamluks. Kashmiris have never claimed an arab descent that is something you are forcefeeding down them.

  • @Triptab

Wrong! Iran=Aryan=Iran 'the land of Aryans' The only land named after the Aryans. Iran literally mean Aryan its so in the face and you comical monkeys think its Kashmir!

  • @Shkhelkhshk

Lol, the wani400 characters a Joke! He is in love with the word 'Aryan'. He's not interested in his true genetics he just wants that genetics to be called 'Aryan'. Its a word game. The origional unmixed pure blood race aryans would not have looked upon this wani character as there racial brethren but they would have recognised him exactly as you have seen him as a mixed mongrel. Plain and simple but its a truth he doesnt want to know. Youv got to feel sorry for him.

  • i was there and i go back in januari while i lost my heart and bought a' peace '

    of land in pahalgam

  • Indeed pure Aryan people of our State. We In India must be careful of the Jews who are by planting false data trying to make Aryan Indians into Semites (Jewish-Arab). The Jews are changing their names or disguising themselves to push their agenda in India. They are even asking their Arab cousins to help them Semitize India. But the confident and honest Arabs will not oblige them. The Kashmiris are pure Aryans while most follow a Semitic religion Islam.

  • @Wani400 I call BS! Present day Kashmiris are nothing but Arabs mixed with Eusafzays, Kalash, Mamluks, and Dravidians. Note the looks and the culture. It began in the 7th Century A.D when Arabs seized it.. Follow the history of Central Asia ever since the Arab conquests. Live with it.
