@britishboxers - www.britishboxers - A change from our normal boxing videos, here we take a little look into the life of a cage fighter. Infact non other than BritishBoxers own Andrew 'Saja' De-Vent.
Andrew is part of the BritishBoxers team and Tribal Fit Camp. De-Vent is an MMA fighter from Manchester. On December 16th he will take part in the UK's first 8 man, one night knockout tournament 'X Fighter' - The Last Man Standing' - which is promoted by 'Ultimate Cage Championships' www.uccmma.com
Over a two week period BritishBoxers followed Andrew's preperations for the contest at his gym with long time boxing and Thai Boxing coach Mr M (Kevin 'Armstrong' Morris 'Fight Factory' Stretford Manchester.
We travel with Andrew for a week to Jinack Island in The Gambia where he will holiday and train for one week, before returning to the UK four days prior to the biggest fight of his life.
Usually without a ring nickname, Andrew was named 'Saja' (Warrior) by the Mandinka tribe on Jinack Island and bestowed the title 'The Mandinka Warrior'
In our series we will speak with Andrew, part of BritishBoxers, about his career in boxing and MMA and his thoughts on the up-coming tournament. We will train and film with Andrew on the beach in Jinack and try to capture best, his time in Africa as he prepares himself mentally and physically on the beach in the sweltering heat of The Gambia. We also take a peek into his time in Africa and the strength of mind and body the whole experience as given him.
In the concluding parts we will go behind the scenes at the tournament as Andrews prepares to win 'The Ultimate Cage Championships' If he does he vows to return to Jinack Island and present the belt to the Elders of the village and all the people who touched his heart on Jinack Island and who helped, encouraged, blessed and prayed for him continually to be triumpant and successful.
