How Many Days? Day 775

Windsor, Ontario, Canada city works are on strike... and I think they are doing a poor job of how they go about getting their message out there to the citizens they want to support them. Blocking parking is NOT a cool thing. Our garbage hasn't been picked up... but oh well.. its time to make movies this summer!

Seriously - with the economy now people are pissy enough that they're striking while many people are being laid off. My dad works for chryslers and hasnt worked in over a month and wont be back MAYBE until the end of June.

I was in windsor a couple weeks ago to visit family and I heard that they're on strike for FUTURE employees not to lose their full medical benefits after retirement blahblahblah (current employees of the city have full pension that include full dental and heath benefits until the day they die and windsor is one of only like.. 3 in ontario that still offer that)... Most of the workers just want to get back to work and are only on strike because of their union.
