History of the World: Part 1

Spanish Inquisition: Christian Right and especially Evangelicals Pretend To Love Jews + Israel But This Is How They REALLY Feel toward Jews and Israelis (they're going to reject their Messiah and go to Hell. then Israel belongs to the "New Israel" the Church of Christians of the "Bodu of Christ" (today's Right-wing Christians that say they love Jews and Israel)

Mel Brooks (Torquemada, the Inquisitor), Sid Ceasar and several other classic comedians

1981 film written, produced and directed by Mel Brooks. As he does in many of his other films, Brooks also gives himself a great deal of time in front of the camera, this time playing five roles: Moses, Comicus the stand-up philosopher, Tomás de Torquemada, King Louis XVI and Jacques le garçon de pisse (the "piss-boy"). The large ensemble cast also features Sid Caesar, Shecky Greene, Gregory Hines, and Brooks regulars Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, Andreas Voutsinas and influential British comedy writer/actor and former The Goon Show star Spike Milligan. The film also has cameo appearances by Bea Arthur, Hugh Hefner, John Hurt, Barry Levinson, Jackie Mason, Paul Mazursky, and Henny Youngman, among many others. Orson Welles narrated the film, and briefly appeared on screen in that capacity.

  • this is wrong. the spanish inquisition was CATHOLIC not evangelical, catholics killed the protestants/evangelicals too during the inquisition... tsk!

  • @kit2ng219

    this is correct!

the Spanish Inquisition was Catholic. but so were all Christians during the Inquisition!

but there werent any Protestants or Evangelicals during the Inquisition! it stopped in early 1800s.

nearly all of the Inquisition happened 1300's-1500's.

Protestants did not come till the 1600's.

Evangelicals did not come till late 1800's.

some locations had Inquisition sporadically in late 1700's - 1800's but Protestants & Evangelicals were not associated.

    tsk!

  • @FoxMulderXFOxx Yes there were TRUE CHRISTIANS...they were not protesting at this time, but they DID exist!

  • @Taharah007

what are you referring to? i dont understand what Christians you're referring to.

  • @Taharah007 By TRUE CHRISTIANS I mean those who did NOT pray to Mary, but directly to GOD, and did not venerate the SUNday...EUCHARIST (idol). But exercised sola scriptura...and prayed directly to God. (Not statues.) ..nor did the Jews...

  • @Taharah007

you mean Catholics who were secretly, underground, not participating with some Catholic rituals?

Catholics categorized as "Heretics", together with Jews and Pagans.

they secretly selected not follow various Catholic rituals.

but they were still - always Catholic (till otherwise ex-communicated, executed or punished or beaten for becoming a Heretic and committing Heresy)

they were not Lutherans till late 1500's, not Protestants till mid 1600's, nor Evangelicals till 1800's.

  • That was one interesting Video. After seeing the video, I started to read the Comments and noticed, that I did Not read anything on SPAIN, SPANIARDS, SPANISH JEWS or SPANISH RABBIS, yet all the characters portrayed in this video are Spaniards. Looks like the Inquisition almost accomplished their goal of removing JUDAISM from SPANISH HISTORY. Most of Spain was Jewish, the Jewish Families are still there and the rest are all over the world including all of the Americas. We are know as Crypto-

  • Guys dont spaz out its just a vid its hilarious i think its awesome relax and enjoy!!

  • Jackie Mason was hilarious in this sketch.

  • the first Christians were mostly jews who thought judaism worshipped the malevolent deity that created the world, and the Christ was the messiah, but that Christ had no relationship to this entity.

  • most the the original early writings of Christians were destroyed. and the 2nd testament only supports the beliefs of the 1st, which is jewish.

jews only began to pray when they lost the temple where their ritual for connecting with god was to sacrifice animals. animal sacrifice had to be done on holy ground.

  • @Miss65boo

Well, I don't happen to read Hebrew, Greek, or Latin, but I did read the entire English version of the bible the summer before I started college when I was 18. I think I learned quite a bit about it despite any translation errors, and I'm now 47 and if anything an even stronger atheist. If there are any controversial passages that may mean something totally different in their original language (whatever that was), please let me know. You might want to start with Leviticus...

  • @jerico641 I do consider myself open minded and I understand that people have a right to bellieve what they wish. I went through a period of time as a teenager and young adult questioning the Bible and the teachings of the Catholic Church, but I grew in faith over the years. The Bible can be difficult to believe if you read it literally but keep in mind that the English version has been through many translations, so the wording is not always what it seems.
