  • @Hermanhbg Every mamal produces milk, and hedgehogs are mamals. So there is at least one kind of milk which they do like. The closest commercialy available substitution is kitten upbringing milk, sold by veterinarians. Although that is not a perfect food for them, the youngest babies are not able to eat cat food yet. But I agree that one should change very quickly to wet cat food. We have used that kind of milk for years feeding more then one hundret babies with great success.

  • @Igelzentrum that makes no difference. Hedgehogs shoiuld not be fed milk at all, it is very bad for them. Just take catfood (not the dry version), that is good for them, milk is really bad for hedgehogs. Please don't feed them milk anymore if you really do care about hedgehogs

  • @MsKIMB0 Hedgehog babies that have been raised by Humans have a good chance to survive in the great outdoors. Hedgehog moms do not show their offspring what they should eat, or how to react to danger. The young ones need to learn all that by themselves.

  • @Hermanhbg We do not feed hedgehog babies with cow milk. Instead we use a special kind of milk for raising puppies and kittens. See also: "Hedgehog Part One"

  • Hi, i just noticed that you feed them milk, please do NOT feed them milk, milk is really bad for hedgehogs though many people think it is good.

Just give the youngster (and older hedgehogs) none solid catfood, that is all they need and they will grow like nuts, and it will not harm them, milk will harm hedgehogs. Thank you.

  • WELL DONE

  • How can you let them go back to the wild? You have already imprinted them with your human ways...they'll die!

  • orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so cute
