The Coast Guard and Air National Guard teamed up to respond to an injured 57-year-old man aboard a sailing vessel 1,400 miles southwest of San Diego April 1, 2010. A C-130 Hercules airplane crew from Air Station Sacramento transported and dropped four pararescuemen from the 129th Rescue Wing California Air National Guard along with their rescue and survival gear to assist the injured man.
