An answer to a question from one of my subscribers. Bullies are a huge problem in schools, and there is no easy way of dealing with them.

When I was in school, I was bullied, picked on and tormented on a daily basis. That's why this subject is so important to me.

Bullying can have catastrophic effects. It needs to stop. Current public school legislation makes it difficult for children to fight back or even to defend themselves from bullies without being suspended or expelled for fighting. This only makes matters worse in my opinion.

In this new video series, we'll discuss options and strategies for dealing with bullies.

  • i dont know if i totally agree with u b/c my kinda friend gets beat up at school and he tried what u did but he still is beat up at school so i dunno obout that. but whatever nice vid might help some but i can garentee not all lol pce out

    HODOR

  • Which part of what what talked about did your friend try?

Also, just one word of advice, instead of being a "kinda friend" to this kid who keeps getting beaten up, try being a "real friend" and standing up for the guy.

Again, bullies want easy targets. If they see strength in numbers resisting them, they'll be much more likely to back off. If you're afraid to stand up for for your friend, then this bully has already beaten you as well.

I know it's not easy. Good luck.

  • I have watched a lot of clips about bullying in an effort to find something to use in a presentation on bullying. The problem I have with yours is that you say you could try to become friends with the bully. I don't understand why you would want to become friends with someone you already agreed is a coward and a person who is going nowhere in life...A lot of your advice seems to make a lot of sense even though not everyone is made out for martial arts, of course.

  • Even cowards and losers need friends.

  • Excellent video. As a result of years of bullying I suffer from major depression and very low self esteem. Even at the age of 49 years I still hurt. Its sad but I have to tell you that adults can be just as bad.

  • centry96 you comment proves that bullies are cowards.

  • I feel so bad for you!!!!!! I literally cried when I heard that you were bullied that bad your super nice for giving this advice to people I'm still crying :'(

  • Excellent. Excellent. Excellent ! ! !

Love this video. Very inspiring. You are right on the money in what you said.

  • There are no bullies In our school

  • Hello, balletman I got a questions. In my school I sometimes get bullied of some guys, and I tried many options to ignore them. But none of them haved workt. What should I do

  • i do tkd and ever since i told people i did it no one messes with me no more

  • nice video

  • well the reason why no one will help the victim is because they dont wanna get suspended. anytime u talk back to the bully that jackass is gonna wanna assault u. then u either have two choices get beat up and humiliated but dont get suspended for kick the shit outta that jerkoff and get suspended. if the school system was more understanding then bullying wouldnt be such a problem.

  • @balletman i know this was 2 years ago, but ahaaa, oompa loompa fetish >.< i was not expecting to laugh i tried to hold it in and ended up snorting. my friend has a midget fetish, he wants to adopt every midget he sees o.0 i think that people should not take this videos advice to hard though, simply ignoring them, or telling on them till some one listens, hey if the teachers/princibles dont, call the news channel, they love scoups like that!

  • We didn't have a school bully or gang and other than twice I wasn't physically bullied. I was name called, excluded, laughed at etc. That kind of bullying can be worse coz it can mentally scar you and it's harder to prove. It's also harder to stand up for yourself coz it's hard to deflect or reflect back onto the bully, without becoming 1 yourself.

I was either bullied or completely ignored by almost everyone in my year. I wasn't overly clever, or weak, it was just the done thing, to isolate me.
