  • Are those parakeets I hear in the background!?! Love your videos by the way... very helpful for learning boogie piano.

  • Yes, my student's family's parakeets. LOL! Never even noticed it! LOL! I was more concerned that I inadvertently said Fb in one spot instead of Gb while describing that riff, but didn't have time to redo the vid. So glad you're picking up some piano moves to enjoy. Merry Christmas to all who've plowed through my vids. Wish you'd speak out more, and, ignore the little mistakes I make when in a hurry to do these vids for y'all.

  • I agree with Riverdale270. Longer videos are much more helpful. Check out MusicGuru12. He makes some interesting videos about riff lessons. Thanks for your help!!!

  • I feel better about the shorter, more focused mini lessons, which basically show a little riff or lick for players to add to their bag of tricks. When it's brief, new players can watch it over & over to absorb it and figure it out. I'm here if they have questions.

  • Ending; Sort of all in one motion going up; slide off Eb to E natural, to G,A,C and then going down C,A,G,E,D to middle C. Use as an ending, or, turnaround in key of C. Not every lesson is for beginners.

I'm just throwing out little pieces of riffs and moves to help players incorporate them into their own styles. Note I haven't gotten much feedback, so I don't know what players like or want other than to see what lessons are getting the most hits.

  • oh man! I was just looking for that! thx

  • Played piano for 30 years....Love boogie woogie and I love you little lessons....very comprehensive...easy to understand..you have the concept correct, nice, little riffs and you explain them very well...i like your piano, looks like a classic

  • If you'd make this video a little longer and explain the last part too, it would be something that beginning pianists could use but now its kinda short dont you think?
