  • Is it just me or do these water fountains look like they adapt to and synchronize with the music?

  • @aboodankaboot

The fountain show is sequenced to be synchronized to the music, all done by computer systems nearby the fountain. So far, only 10 synchronized music/fountain/light shows have been designed and are played on a rotating basis every 30 minutes for the duration of a song from 5pm to midnight daily.

  • @S052970057 For a second, I thought some artificial intelligence was implemented into this complex system of fountains and computers. I guess not. Anyway that's pretty cool!

I'm wondering though, if the music plays daily from 5PM to midnight daily, doesn't it annoy the residents in that area at midnight or those who sleep early? Is it loud or is it adjusted at an acceptable amount?

  • @aboodankaboot

No, the music is not that loud. It is loud enough to be heard by nearby onlookers, from restaurants and from the Dubai Mall, but it doesn't affect residents of nearby buildings (besides, the only building nearby really only is Burj Khalifa (previously known as Burj Dubai).

Besides, shoppers in the shopping mall themselves and surrounding traffic and ambient noise creates about as much sound as the fountain show. lol

  • @S052970057 I guess I overlooked the other noises you mentioned. Thanks for replying!

I forgot to thank you for uploading the video.

    Best.
