I organized the Hood River Recital partly for the sheer novelty of performing a duet with a fellow coworker, who was interning at my company for a summer, and partly to goad myself into re-polishing my piano skills, which had languished through my college years and after. The duet was selected, practiced, memorized, and then performed in less than a month; and the rest of the solo pieces selected and dusted off in the same time. In the end, the recital also served a very useful purpose by raising $700+, which was donated to a local high school's music program. This movie snips out only the solo songs I played, as well as the duet.
Songs are: Pieczonka's "Tarantella", and Joplin's "Solace: A Mexican Serenade".
that was the most perfect version of tarantella i've ever heard

While I will never be able to play one tenth as good as you, you must really pay attention to your tempo, dynamics and phrasing in the Joplin work. For me it was played too fast (especially the second half), and all at the same level of volume. I understand some of this was due to the pressure of the recital, but you are far to good to rush through this piece. The second half is such a lyrical, sad but beautiful movement, but unfortunately most of it was lost.
